Creative Writing: The Nightmare
... nightmare that all men fear-- the one who
prowls the night in wanton lust and desire for hot
human flesh. I feast first on dainty tidbits such as
freshly plucked eyeballs, colored with fear and
aversion. I lick the sauce from the sockets, before
beginning upon cocktail fingers and toes. Then
pulling off a meaty drumstick, I feed the genitals and
the guts to my Children of the Night, giving the young
first choice. There is plenty to go around. Often
mortals have asked why the wolves follow me and
why I allow them to do so. Ours is a symbiotic
relationship. I feed them, and they clean up after me.
Simple, is it not? One cannot just leave all of those
corpses an ...

Personal Writing: Fragment - Changes In Life
... today" because most of the time it's usually funny
and it isn't really considered anything serious. Some happenings in our lives
are very serious and aren't as easy to talk about with others. Even though this
is true it does help the person feel better to talk about their problems whether
they realize it at first or not. Changes in life like these can change you both
physically and mentally for the rest of your life depending on the severity of
the situation.
In early August of `96 my life at home became a living nightmare. I
don't really know what it was that started this thing between me and my parents
but I do remember that they were always doing anyth ...

Conversation With A Doctor
... Oh, a very nice one, near the University, view of the river and all
that. We got it about ten years ago, and we never saw any reason to move.
Since we decided never to have kids, I guess we never needed anything
larger -- not that it's small, of course.
A condominium.
Well, I teach literature at McGill. And I went on an academic
exchange to Germany.
Hamburg. It's an ugly city, but we enjoyed it anyway.
Yes, teaching. I got Arnaud to travel around Germany a bit, and we
came back through France.
No, I wish I had learnt it, but since I taught my students in French
it didn't matter too much. And of course they all speak Engli ...

Personal Writing: Devon
... the people waved back and yelled, "Hay, Devon."
As he looked in my direction I waved at him to get his attention.
When he reached the table I shook his hand and introduced myself. He
introduced himself "Hi my name is Devon." He sat down on the other side of
the small table.
Devon is well known in the coffee shop. He goes to the coffee shop
about 3 times a week and tries to meet someone new every time he goes. He
is really nice and it's not hard for him to make friends. Almost everyone
in the shop know who he is. If he sees someone he doesn't know he'll go up
and talk to them.
Devon told me why he dressed the way he does, "I do it to show
people that ...

Personal Writing: My Room
... There are also school papers, and note and letters from your
friends. This is because my mind makes my room.
Even though my walls cannot speak, if they were able to, they would
tell you many secrets and important event that took place in my life. Just
like the secrets in my room, my soul is filled with emotions and feelings.
My room captures the memories from birth till now. Even though I have not
lived in this room all my life, I keep the memories in my heart and they
show up in my room.
From a baby till now, my mind has held a lot on in. It has held
death and life, good and bad. It has gone through bliss and depression.
My floor too is h ...

Ballet Analysis: Self Evaluation
... up your feet, ankles, and hips before diving into plies. This particular pre-barre is exceptionally helpful. When you tendu, flatten, and drag your foot back to first, I can really feel my hips and rotators working. I also really worked on using the floor during the tendus - I know I could be using the floor much more in every exercise. On the releves, I focused on tightening my abdominals and lengthening my lower back. Its amazing how much that centers your balance! I also noticed that at the beginning of the course, my feet would cramp terribly during the releves, but as I got stronger, the cramping stopped and my releve became much higher. The balances in ...

Creative Story: Fast Eddie
... My mind
wanders back to when I was an innocent eight year old kid. I worried more about
what games to play than anything else. My mom brought us to the Mile High City
after she and my dad started fighting. She thought it would be good to grow up
near relatives. She never knew what was in store for us all. No one knew except
the scientist and interfering generals who were developing project "UnderNet".
The national/global computer network that was going to make our lives simpler by
linking the regional infrastructure management computers. It made sense to have
a system where electricity was diverted from one grid to another were it was
needed more. Same w ...

Personal Writing: Taking The Merkler Interest And Personality Type Self Assessment
... The Merkler stated that my "artistic" values are expressed
through music, writing, and/or design. This statement rings very true in
my case. I have played the piano and saxophone, sang at events, and am
learning how to play the guitar. I was also a journalism major at one
point, winning awards in writing competitions, and still desiring to write
a book someday. I am also wanting to make a career out of computer and
software design. Although I could be very creative in writing essays, the
Merkler stated that I prefer multiple choice tests and projects. I feel
that this is true because multiple choice tests and projects offer more
alternatives. These res ...

Cow Lore
... reigns tied to those
horizontal postthings you see in all those western movies. Mike pushed the
serving girl from his lap and awkwardly staggered to stand atop his table.
The music and dancing immediately stopped in respect.
"If it's a war the Milkers want," he slurred, tipping this way and that,
almost losing his balance. "Then it's a war they'll get." His statement
was met with a round of deafening cheers, which soon died back down. "You
are all people of war... and when we clash tomorrow, I want you to do what
you do best. I want you to destroy whoever gets in your way." Another round
of cheers exploded, then died down. "Tomorrow, milk will be relea ...

Personal Writing: Applying To Indiana University
... Ave. is an intelligent, hard worker from Great Neck who will dedicate his next four years to hard work and giving my all to your University. Not only accelerating above the rest of the students, but also partaking in student activities to help school morale. Not only will I be receiving a four year education in the major of my childhood dreams, but it would give me a chance to attend a prestigious university. When asking the majority of my friends what colleges they are applying to, I get the response of UMASS, Michigan, Wisconsin, etc.… In return, I give them my answer of "I want to attend Indiana University. Praying that I will receive an acceptance let ...
