I enjoyed this short story. It was well written, easy to understand, and the descriptions were very good. Upon my first reading of the story I as unsure of what the symbolism was. I knew that hand had to stand for something because of the title and the intense descriptions and focus that was use ....
Middle of essay
....e the next day explaining to the man that she has made a mistake. If I were in such a position I would not think twice about backing out. The woman never looks to this as an option. She assumes she will be in that state for the rest of her life and that is a sad thing.
Overall, I thought the story was very interesting and it even had a very creepy underlining to it. My only complaint was with the resolution. In terms of literary devices the symbolism was the only thing I was able to ident.... |
