This version of the classic novel, Dracula, is aimed at children, in my opinion between the ages of 8 to 12. My reasoning for this is that the language used requires quite a wide vocabulary and reading ability to understand, but ....

It is a colourful picture, which attracts the reader’s attention, and has the effect of setting the scene and putting an idea into the reader’s mind that the story is set “a long time ago”. For children, it is important that this is clarified at the beginning, so that they do not expect modern items, but “olden” things and occurrences.
