A Eulogy For Gatsby
Beginning of essay
When I first came to New York, I heard all these crazy stories of a man named Gatsby. He was throwing these wild parties, he had relatives in Germany where he received a lot of his riches, and so on and so on. If only I had known how great he really was.
I only knew the man, the myth, the realit ....
Middle of essay
....vagant party week in and week out. The point that Gatsby did not even know half the people at the party is beside the point, it was just the essence of such effort that went into holding these parties. Gatsby was that kind of man though, the impossible for others was the easy for him. There was no way anyone would outdo Gatsby, he just would not hear of it. It was one of those subconscious things people do.
