To figure out the mystery to the motor I basically just turned it on. I noticed the way it spun with the power cords in each position. No matter the way the cords are hooked up, the same thing happens. I figured that the motor works by magnetizing the four tubes (solenoids). The current leaves ....

....ating solenoids. That causes the middle solenoids to spin farther around. Now it's just another cycle of what I stated above. The motor will continue to spin until the current is stopped. If the direction of the current is reversed, the motor will still rotate in the same direction because now all the magnetic fields are reversed too.
