The 1930s
Beginning of essay
were times of great depression resulting in sweeping
changes. Some people starved trying to find work, while others did all they
could to just hang on a little longer. All across North America, tough
times were had by all.
My grandma had to walk two miles to school every day; the dust was
so bad ....
Middle of essay ....eople could purchase trunks to attach
to the back of their car to be used as storage. Some cars did not have
fuel pumps; instead they depended on gravity flow for the gas to get to get
to the carburetor. This sometimes caused the cars to stall when going up
steep hills because the car could not get enough fuel in the carburetor.
The Ford and Chevrolet cars could be purchased under $600, in the early
1930's.
There was a lot of governmental problems as well in the 1930's.
