As I walked down the cold hallway with my mom, I began to hear the subtle whine and noise of vehicles scurrying around. Reaching the end, the shiny paint and the smell of jet fuel had an almost hypnotizing effect. Walking through the steel doorway into the plane, the flight attendant and the cap ....

....ack and began to lift off the ground, like a bird taking flight. Climbing up into the air, I sank into my seat and my stomach felt as if it were in my shoes.
The plane rocketed through the clouds like a car in the early morning fog. We leveled off and the plane became quiet and settled into the sky, as did many of the screaming babies. With the low hum of the engines and the sight of clouds whizzing by, I soon found myself drifting off to sleep.
