October 06, 1998 - - - I recall this day, broken hearted and torn, it was a beautiful day: a beaming sun, clear blue skies, fresh moist air - - what more could we possibly ask for? (Only God knew what he had in store for us.) The day went on as every other day: wake up, go to school, then come home ....

As I stood at my brother's site, I wept, remembering all of our memories and how we're not going to be able to make anymore. I cried out for him, but got no respond. A hand was placed on my shoulder and I thought it was him, but it was Jorge there for me, helping me through every step.
When I went home there was support and comfort provided by family and friends. "How am I going to face everyone?," I thought in my head, somehow, I managed to get through.... |
