thirteen colonies. The British government attempted to maintain its
authority over the colonies by putting taxes on the colonies. The colonies

colonial minutemen commanded by captain John Parker. there were about 700
British soldiers who commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Francis Smith. The
battle took place at Lexington, Massachusetts. Paul Revere warned the
minutemen of the approach of the British soldiers.
There were many events that led to the American Revolution. The
Stamp Act, the Boston Tea Party, and the Skirmishes at Lexington and
