....Ford’s first working car ,the quadricycle, could be seen on the streets of Detroit with Ford commanding the steering lever, this was the first of many millions of cars produced by the pioneer. The quadricycle had four wire wheels that looked like heavy bicycle wheels, was steered with a tiller like a boat, was powered by a two cylinder internal combustion engine that made four horse power, and had two forward speeds and no reverse.
