However, Phoenix did experience some fatalities as she continued to walk. She crossed a scarecrow and from a distance, she thought it to be a man. When she realized it was not a man, she presumed it to be a “GHOST”(117). As she came closer, Phoenix felt ashamed when she realized that it was just a scarecrow. “Then she went on”(117) down the tracks only to encounter more embarrassment. Phoenix decides to stop for water and was caught of guard .... |
