The compromise is not satisfactory to either side of the slave argument. By passing this compromise, neither party would be at all satisfied. I am aware that in most compromises both sides have to sacrifice some things in order to get what they want. The trouble with this compromise is that no one ends up getting what they want when it is all said and done. Therefore I urge you all not to support this compromise.
