....When they did get on shore the amphibious tanks were launched correctly and they took out all the German guns. There was a traffic jam on the beach when they arrived. This too was a great victory. 21,400 men went ashore. The last beach Sword is a little longer than some of the other beaches in the area and the people worked harder to get onshore.
