It is the number one killer of babies under one year old, with 90% of cases occurring before the age of six mon ....

Compression on this artery may by because the infant ahs tried to clear its face from a soft bedding. The infant must turn its head to the right and thrust it backwards against the neck, putting pressure on the vertebral artery. Infants do not have the protective muscles or ligaments that adults do and that’s why they are easily subjected to this case.
