Stratford, both prosperous and respected people of the town. It is highly
probable that William went to a grammar school in Stratford that belonged

Sonnet 18 is very typical of his writing style. Romantisicm runs
rmapid as a theme in many of his poems. He best shows this style in lines
10-14:
But thy eternal summer shall not fade,
Nor lose possession of that fair thou owest,
Nor shall Death brag thou wander’st in his shade,
When in eternal lined do time thou growest.
So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,
So long lives this and this gives life to thee.
