Middle of essay ....roblems were not discussed in the poem. It doesn’t say anything about a marital spouse. Maybe being lonely and not being able to find anyone depressed him. Then, one night Richard Cory shot himself. The man who had everything was apparently missing something. He hid behind his mask, not letting anyone else know his pain.
There were other poems in our text book that were similar, such as "Suicide Note" by Janice Mirikitani. Resembling "Richard Cory" the girl seemed perfect with her 4.0, but.... |
