William Heyen's poem "Matrix" (184-185) is a beautiful display of how he feels for his wife. You can tell from this poem that he is sensitive to her feelings of being sick and that he would do any thing to make her feel more comfortable. He shows this is his feelings by writing about his memory whe ....
Middle of essay ..... He is showing the readers that no matter how the outer layer of a being changes, it shouldn't change your feelings about it or how you think of it. The turtle may not have respond to him by him trying to comfort it, but he kept trying to comfort his wife until he found a way to show her that he still loved her, no matter what she looked like and had changed on the exterior.
