.... only acceptable, but preferable to treating women with respect. Television also seems to play a role in demeaning women. Movies depict rape, brutality and many other violent acts that demean women. Women should be given the same treatment as men no matter what the case may be. If society as a whole would realize that women are just as equal as men I can assure that we would all get along 10 times better.
