....battles in great details, although war is the central event. In a scene where the casualty lists are given, we can see the horrible reality of war and its effects on the people. Images of rows of dying and wounded soldiers, chaos in the streets of Atlanta, and a priest praying for the dead further illustrates the ugliness of war. Also, the sympathetic side of slavery was seen when the little Negro children had to fan the white princesses in their sleep. One of the film greatest moments occurr.... |
