In 1868, she opened the New York Infirmary and College for Women, a hospital completely operated by women. In 1869, she decided to permanently move back to England where she continued her practice. Elizabeth ended her career in 1907 after an accident in Scotland. Elizabeth Blackwell died on May 31, 1910 at age ninety.
