Middle of essay ....hink that there is such a thing as freedom of expression. This would in turn had given Emerson the liberty to say what he wished without fear of being persecuted. His teachings are in my opinion ultimately good for society today. It actually makes people believe that they are important in this world and that they are part of something a lot bigger than themselves.
