....phor is a comparison between two things. Saline writes "love and hate are flip sides of the same coin" to show that the mother and daughters relationship is divided into love and hate just as heads and tails are on a coin. This shows that the daughter fights with her mother to show that she does not want to become her. Another technique the author uses is simile. Simile is a comparison using the word like or as. "It is like she had a sign on her head that said: Keep off; don't touch me" show.... |
