The Classification System In Greek Drama
... told with star actors seems to carry on a more professional status than those told without stars. A feature with Robert DiNero and Ray Liotta is going to sound more professional than a movie done with want-to-be actors.
The rule also gave way for more effective portrayal of a character. It did this in two ways. First, it gave a way to make the character deeper by giving him contrast to the other characters. Second, it gave an outlet where the characters could form unions with each other. They could team up two against one. It gave a way to show more power to characters.
The three-actor rule was also beneficial for financial reasons. Because they were limited ...

How Effective Is Act Three, Scene Four Of Shakespeare's Macbeth
... The combination of these sinister events create the perfect prelude to a communion between Macbeth and his Thanes, with the notable exception of Banquo...
The opening sequence of events would have been easily recognized by the audience who were familiar with the traditional banquet scene. The places have been previously set with particular reference to rank, thus adding to the formality of the evening. The usual degree of ceremonial pomp occurs as is especially evident in the opening lines of the scene. This scene is abruptly interrupted by one of Macbeth's own assassins, Macbeth must think quickly and provide an excuse, that he may attend to this new arrival. He at ...

Consumer Appeal
... trying to capture a serial killer/stalker, who killed her
husband and continues to stalk her. The show is very detail oriented, in the
sense that the viewers need to pay close attention to what is going on to be
able to follow along with the mystery. It tends to "suck you in", so to say,
because it causes the viewers to become involved and engrossed in solving the
mystery.
The assumed target of this series is mainly adults over the age of
twenty-five, with the exceptions of those viewers that do not watch it at the
time it actually airs, but they tape it to watch later. Because of the time it
airs, the viewers are very select: children under the age of ten are p ...

Analysis Of Radio Station Mergers And Acquisitions
... past 17 months.
With all of these proposed deals and companies owning numerous radio stations in a single market, the FCC has been very busy analyzing these deals. The FCC and the Justice Department are reviewing several mergers that would give companies control over 60% or more of the local radio advertising revenue market. Officials have previously allowed one company to own up to 53% of the local radio advertising revenue market. With these current deals, the threshold would push that to 75%. The FCC currently has no magic number for reviewing local advertising revenue.
One of the cases that the FCC is currently reviewing is Regent Communications’ acquisit ...

The Supernatural In Shakespeare's Work
... is very important in these plays.
A ghost, appearing in the form of Hamlet's father, makes several
appearances in the play. It first appears to the watchmen, Marcellus and
Bernardo, along with Horatio near the guardsmen's' post. The ghost says
nothing to them and is perceived with fear and apprehension. It is not
until the appearance of Hamlet that the ghost speaks, and only then after
Horatio has expressed his fears about Hamlet following it, "What if it
tempt you toward the flood, my lord, or to the dreadful summit of the
cliff."(1.4, 69-70)
The conversation between the ghost and Hamlet serves as a catalyst

Fate A Factor In Oedipus' Life
... the prophecy, and living the prophecy. Another part of the heroic journey involves "dying as an adolescent and being reborn as a man. (Campbell)" This happens to Oedipus when he leaves Corinth and runs to Thebes. He goes from boy to king. Oedipus intended on avoiding letting the prophecy come true so he escaped from what he thought was his mother and father because he cared. In doing this he kills his father of birth, and then he frees the people of Thebes from the plague of the Sphinx and inherits the throne.
It is no surprise Oedipus didn’t go insane. I guess to the result of this he gouged his eyes out. He did so many good things for his people an ...

Critique On Advertising In Our Society
... These methods of persuasion, instead of
concentrating on the actual product, usually concentrate on the benefits that
will be brought to the consumer. These benefits may include the hope of more
money and better jobs, popularity and personal prestige, praise from others,
more comfort, social advancement, improved appearance, or better health. For
example, an automobile advertisement, as well as mentioning the mechanical
attributes of the car, would most likely focus on the excitement, prestige and
social advancement it may bring the buyer. This social advancement is very
often sexual, or involving attraction of the other sex– so the car advertisement

King Lear: Everything About The Play Hangs On First Two Scenes
... tragedies. While being a great
play, the bulk of the plot in King Lear comes mainly from the first two scenes
where most of the key events happen. Along with the plot there is also
extensive amounts of setup that occur within the dialogue which key the
audience in on the morals and values of the characters. Marilyn French is
completely accurate when she states that "Everything about the play hangs on
the first two scenes not just the plot but the values as well" (Shakespeare's
Division of Experience, 226).
The opening scenes of King Lear do an immaculate job of setting up the
plot and forming the basis for all the events which occur in the later scenes
of the pl ...
