My Autobiography
... my family members who were like parents to me and my best friend Joey to come here to Virginia. Dad had gone to Virginia about 2 months before my Mom, John and I because he had to begin work right away and we didn’t have a place to stay in Virginia yet.
In September of 1987 I began kindergarten at Waterloo Elementary school. On October 1st my Mom had a doctors appointment in York because my second baby brother was on his way. I went with my Mom because my Dad had to work and wouldn’t be able to take care of me for the weekend, but little did my Mom know that she was going to have to stay in York for the whole month of October. Mom’s doctor didn’t want her t ...

Creative Story: Joseph
... could not carry the burden of
taking care of him. His parents thought they were doing the right thing by
dropping him off at this church which was SUPPOSED to take care of him so that
he could grow up with a normal life. In 1936 it was hard growing up in Germany.
In the town we lived in there was never peace, the nuns would not tell us that,
but we knew we all knew, accept for little Joseph. Nazi's would come in the
church and try to teach us their "superior" ways. None of us fell for it,
except Joseph. I guess he had no other place to turn to, so he slowly sank into
these idiotic ways.
About three years later the now 12 years old little boy was a nazi

Creative Writing: The Wave
... Well, he was only responsible for millions of deaths
of innocent men, women, children. He particularly hated Jews. The only thing
wrong is how will I show them that they are becoming similar to one of the evil
dictators ever. I could show them the dead, massacred bodies of the innocent
Jews. I would show them a movie of Hitler and his Nazi's to show these students
what they are becoming. I will tell them all that they would make great Nazi's.
I mean, look at it, how close did they come to World War Three happening in the
extreme. That would make me the new age Hitler and I can't and won't let that
happen. Well, that is what I will do, I will stop this immature ...

My Friend's Battle With Anorexia
... from eating what she wanted to eat. The funny thing was, Laura was a full figured girl, but by no means was she fat. The drama queen that she was, she would exaggerate about her size, but it was never something that she was preoccupied with. Instead, she would entertain us with dramatized stories about her latest fight with her on again off again boyfriend. She was always the center of attention, and made no effort to ever hide her emotions or problems. Overall, Laura had a great personality and always knew how to cheer any one of us up. All of this began to change after our best friend Lauren confessed that she had an eating disorder.
This news surprised us ...

Interview With A UFO
... didn't get on out of here. Then
they made the ugliest fact at me and started talkin Japanese back and forth
at each other. All of a sudden I heard Bessie again, but when I looked over,
they zapped that poor ol' cow up to their hunk of metal spacecraft. I told
`em they better put her back or I was gonna call the UFO sightings hotline
on them like I did on all of their friends. I said " I know about all of
your tests you run on them poor animals like Bessie cause I've been
watchin' the X-Files on my big 10 inch black and white TV." Then they
started gibbering back and forth again and I'll be dang if they didn't zap
my old John Deere up on that ship too. That's wh ...

Personal Writing: Significant Experience That Has Special Meaning
... always neat. But, this work was never
done by herself. She always found a way of manipulating her parents, as
well as her brothers, to serving her before themselves. See what I mean
when I said that she was spoiled rotten! Anyways, Princess Lauren (as far
as she was concerned) had always been top priority in the O'Steen castle
(if asking the rest of her family, they probably would have chosen "high
mantinance" as a far more appropriate term).
Then, after seventeen and a half years, the day finally came for
Princess Lauren to leave home in order to further her education. As she was
preparing for this day, she began to realize that her life, as she had

... ways. And instead sit at home and ponder, how
exactly to spend their days. Their days of sin and gluttony, of indulgence
and of cuckoldry. The days which will fade away, and leave the signs of
sin and of adultery. At any rate I promise the show will be a thing to
remember and a good thing to retain, for it fortells of how God will judge
us and our deeds, and the anguish and the pain. Of those who would not
change their ways, to do well and to be kind. So once the show is over it

Just Trying To Help
... people change the topic of the conversation fairly quickly when they are confronted. The regret I had about never standing up for, not just the members of my family, but for any person, or group of people, that is discriminated against, led to a problem I encountered a few years ago during my sophomore year in high school.
My high school is predominantly white, with a few Asians, and very few black students. One of the few black students, Kaasa, happened to be in my phy-ed class during the first semester of my sophomore year. The problem was that Mike Hartman was also in the same class. Mike was kind of known to the people in our grade as “Mr. Racism”. He was ...

The Renaissance Man
... in life, for me, acts as a guide which is use to lead me through my own life.
Coming to this country at the fragile age of five, not knowing one
word of English, he has become a well known figure in his field of work.
Armenia, the origin of my family, is where my father was born seventy-seven
years ago. His very poor family fled from their town, which was in Turkey,
to Everett, Massachusetts in nineteen twenty-eight. They lived several
years in this suburb of Boston, until they were able to move to Haverhill
to start a chicken farm. My father's journey began the first day of school
when he was sent home because he could not ask to go to the bathroom ...

Creative Writing: Apocalypse At The Nuclear Plant
... his boss, Jarvis explained. Pete checked
his watch. "Am I late?" he queried. "No time for that, no time for that
damnit!" Jarvis seemed very upset about something to say the least. "Well,
what is it?" Pete asked with a look of haste swimming across his face.
Jarvis lead Pete over to the main testing area. "We discovered
this late last night. Seems one of the plutonium pieces is…," he paused
with a gulp, "changing."
"Changing?!?!"
"You better believe it because it took me an hour to comprehend
what is going on."
"What exactly IS going on?"
Jarvis explained in his own special slightly whiny voice that he
chose to break out only in large meetings but decid ...
