Personal Writing: My Best Friend Radar
... Suddenly,
as soon as he hears the grinding of an opening lattice door, he raises his
head and the rays of the sun, running through the small window, lights his
beautiful head up. I embrace his warm neck, kiss his soft nose and offer
him some sugar. He sniffs me round and I feel that he is glad to see me
as well.
Almost all day long we spend together. We walk around in
the green field, strewed with small, spring, colorful flowers. The air is
filled with smell of the fresh grass. I share with him all the news I had
gotten up to that time. And then, finally, splitting the air impregnated

Personal Statement Of Academic Goals And Course Of Study
... Not only did she teach me math skills, she also taught me how to have strong self-confidence. Having a teacher who has a true desire for education and a genuine concern for each student in the classroom provides an invigorating experience that transcends the classroom into life itself. Mrs. Morgan’s willingness to go the extra mile is what draws me toward the field of education, especially teaching science and math in the elementary classroom.
Another person who has encouraged me to become a teacher is my aunt, Joy Davis. She is the Chairperson of the Science Department and teaches advanced level science courses at Samson High School. The classes that she t ...

... needed to score with time running out. The ball was hit into our offensive end and I went for it. I deeked out the first player and now it was one on one with the goalie. My mind was going crazy.. should I shoot it now… should I wait… should I try dribbling by him… Then Baaammm I was on the ground and I heard the whistle blow. I saw all the parents going crazy and my coach was in the air. Did I score…? Then I saw the referee signal a penalty kick. My coach pointed to me…I knew what I had to do. There was only about 2 minutes left so I knew if I made this, I would be the hero and my team would win. I was ready to take it now.. BRRRRR (the whistle) GGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOA ...

Creaitve Story: Desert Island
... and I was left without a scratch. Shrugging off the many questions
that my mind bombarded me with, I decided to take a tour of the island, and
search for a possible means of escape. "OH SHI-!" I stopped myself short of a
curse, and looked down at my aching toe. I painfully leaned over and examined
the ground around my feet, discovering a 1922 Sears catalogue. Exhausted and
hungry, I reached for a coconut from the only tree. I leaned against the palm
tree eating the coconut and leafing through the ancient catalogue. Thinking
aloud, I muttered, "Gee, I wish I had some clothes". POOF! Magically, I was in
the latest fashions of 1922. Hmmm.......could it be? ...

... up the dank, squeaky stairs with my
siblings, yelling "An-yang!!"(grandmother) all the way. She would yell in
a similar fashion "Ah! Shua- nging!" (ah, children!) Smells of old-
fashioned Shanghainese cooking would assail my senses, as my mouth watered
in anticipation of the savories to come.
One particular afternoon, after we had finished eating, we draped ourselves
around her living room. I was sitting on a dilapidated couch, whose colors
were made indiscernible by time, and was looking around her room. My gaze
swept from the thin, worn carpet, bare in some places, to the scarred
wooden dresser, to a dirty doll with an eye missing. (My grandmother cou ...

Creative Writing: The Tale Of Me And Summer Reading
... out of the pool and run in for a drink. As I took a cup
from the cabinet I saw in the reflection of the glass a blue sheet on the
refrigerator. I immediately turned around and there I saw under a magnet, on the
refrigerator, the summer reading list!
I wanted to start reading as soon as possible. Although I wanted to see
how many books I could read that were on the summer reading list but would not
have to go to the library to get a hold of. My mother is a big book reader so I
checked her collection and I found one. "The Terminal Man" By: Michael Crichton.
To my surprise I actually enjoyed reading this book. I don't like reading that
much, I rather watch a m ...

crescent moons, outrageously swollen, and just about ready to bust out of their
transparent, segmented shells.
The smell of hors d'oeurves served to whet the appetite of all in
attendance. The hickory smell of beef stood out to draw everyone near. The
shrimp had a salty smell with a hint of ocean water. The bell peppers, both
green and red, had a tart smell, compared to their fleshy counterparts. My
taste buds watered, but nothing could compare to the next course I was about to
see.
After devouring the hors d'oeurves, the main course was set before us.
