Looking Back. . .
... be wrong -- after all, he's my brother." I still didn't realize what had happened, until I heard my Grandma on the phone saying Ross had passed away.
As these words came out, I went into a horrifying shock. It was one of the worst feelings I have ever felt and probably will ever feel. I didn't know what to say to anyone, I didn't want to talk to anyone, especially my Mom. I imagined how my Mom was feeling and began to sob even more. "October 6, 1998 - - - a day of doom." I thought.
Memories washed over me and I began to laugh when I thought of him. It still felt as if nothing wrong had happened, and my brother was still near. A picture of Sonya, Ross, ...

Creative Writing: The Cure To AIDS
... substance I discovered would be effective or not. And then I entered the room. My whole team was gathered around the test tubes. We all took a large breath and examined the HIV infected cells in the tubes. There was no HIV virus in them.
Triumphant cries filled the room. Everybody was extremely satisfied with the results, especially I. I was shouting: “I made it! I really made it!”
That was only the first test and was followed by a series of painstaking animal and human experiments. Fortunately all of them proved successful.
The agent I discovered was an antidote to HIV-the virus that causes AIDS. It was called DAA- Dessy AIDS Antidote and blocked the repr ...

... all in Mr. Katmandoo's yard. Then when the car
was half in the street and half in Roger's yard they all yelled "Hey Fuck-o" and

Books; Life Long Friends
... seems my favorite characters in my books have always reminded me
a bit of Belle. Belle had a profound effect on me in childhood as well as
later on in life. She was my finest friend throughout grammar and Junior High
school. We fancied relishing our lunches together. Laughing about the boys'
wicked ways and planning our revenge at the ensuing recess. This always made
lunch go by so swiftly. It was hard to tear us apart. Hell, it was hard to
tell us apart. We were both round bodied and a bit out of shape. But I always
saw Belle in a jovial light. She had a merry way about her, and her laugh was
infectious; it reminded me if Christmas bells, tingly, jingling ...

Personal Writing: The Hamster
... for the weekend, and instead
of staying at my grandparents' house like my parents recommended, I decided
to stay at home. Both of my sisters went to my grandparents' house, so I
had the whole house to myself. I even had some company: my sister's
hamster. I was the hamster's sole caretaker. Without me, it would starve,
die of thirst, or somehow find a way to escape the confines of its little
cage and wreak havoc throughout my parents' house. Because I've never
taken care of a hamster before, my sister had to tell me how I was to take
care of her hamster. I was to feed it, make sure there was plenty of water,
play with it, and give it some exercise by pu ...

Personal Reflections
... through Personal Crisis by Dr. Ann Kaiser Stearns who saved all the clothes of their loved one is a small crystal Easter egg that he gave to me one Easter. It is a symbol of his love, and my valuing it. Mostly, he showed his love through things and outings to plays and musical recitals. Those times were sometimes fun sometimes tedious. But today, I have come to enjoy these types of cultural events. They have helped to shape who I am today.
How do you grieve someone you hardly knew, but who is supposed to mean so much?? I have postponed the grief some what through alcohol and drug use and avoidance. He did mean something to me because when we came home from school, ...

... She scratches the back of my neck oh
so gently. I get high off of this girls love so often. I met her at a symphony.
She is very popular all the puppies of my society adore her. She has seen parts
of the world that no one else has. She has been kicked out of this country many
times. The dreams I have after I sleep with this woman are so incredible that it
makes me a little crazy the next day.
Why do my parents keep bothering me? I can hold my own now. I am mature,
I am a man. I do get distracted real easily and my parents keep ruining my
distraction, I am upset because of that. I have my own apartment in Santa Cruz,
I live in a pardise. California has it all, beau ...

The Ghost Of Peter Quint
... at
her for a few seconds and then disappeared. This time the governess
realized that the man was looking for someone in particular. A few minutes
later the governess told the housekeeper, Mrs. Grose, of the incident and
described the appearance of the man. Mrs. Grose told her that it was a
perfect description of Peter Quint, the valet to the governess' employer
but that Mr. Quint was dead.
One afternoon shortly afterward, a second ghost appeared. This time
the ghost of Miss Jessel, the former governess, appeared in the garden to
both the governess and the little girl (Flora). The strange part of the
situation was that the little girl refused to let the gover ...

Finding A Job
... to meet Louise Mandrell when the band opened for her in Independence, Kansas. I learned much about the music business in that time and suddenly it didn't seem as enchanting as it had before. The knowledge I had gained during this time was beneficial, but the ego's that were involved were more than I could deal with at that time.I enjoyed the job greatly but the pay was not steady. I then started looking for employment that would provide a more stable income.
I applied at many different businesses and got no response. However I just kept on applying anywhere I could find that would let me. My neighbor from across the street, came to my door one day and ...
